Actress Heather Locklear has checked herself into a mental treatment facility for help with depression and anxiety attacks.

She recently divorced rocker Richie Sambora, Bon Jovi guitarist finalized in April 2007.

Since then, she has been taking a great deal of medicine to help with her anxiety attacks and symptoms of depression, according to reports.

Her publicist has confirmed that Heather has been dealing with anxiety treatment and depression treatment. She is getting an in-depth evaluation of her medication as well as treatment for her depression, and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and . . . mental treatment.  Her publicist says, that Heather Locklear’s checkin to rehab, has nothing to do with alcohol, drug abuse or drug addiction.

Heather Locklear, the forty-six year old mother,  has checked herself into an Arizona mental health treatment facility seeking a cure for anxiety,  and a cure for depression.  She will not speak publicly on her current anxiety mental health stay and wishes only to get a proper diagnosis for medication from doctors. According to her publicist, Heather considers this is a confidential medical matter, and no further statement will be released on her anxiety disorder and depression.
